* Star (A waste of time!)
I hated this book because it was the most boring thing I have ever read in my life. It is about a young boy that likes to get in trouble. He does an array of bad things, from faking his own death to uncovering a scandal.

* * Stars (Just ok)
This wasn’t a very good book because it was hard to understand. It takes place awhile ago, so they use different words than we do now. It is mostly about Tom Sawyer’s interesting adventures – most of which leads him into trouble. It is a classic book.

* * * * Stars (Great!)
Tom is a boy who loves a good adventure and is always getting into trouble. One day him and his two friends leave to an island because they are so sick of their parents. Everyone thinks they died. Tom and his friends start to feel bad so they head home. After they attend their own funerals people thought that it was their ghosts but soon find out the true story. Their mothers are so angry once they find out what really happened.

* * * Stars (Pretty good)
Tom Sawyer is immensely involved with American history as it follows the story of a reckless, good-natured boy who grows up along the banks of the Mississippi. Twain’s dialogue is unique, making it an even more enjoyable story. These are a few of the many elements that make Tom Sawyer an Americana landmark and classic.
