Let it snow! We read books about snowmen, including "Snowman Magic" and sang a song about snow. Then we created our own snowman mobile to hang at home. [fsg_gallery id=”6″]
We put out the supplies and people came! There were eight projects to choose from and all enjoyed creating and making the crafts their own. [fsg_gallery id=”7″]
Kids in kindergarten through second grade joined us for Young Artists. We learned about how we can repeat various shapes and colors to make patterns. And we worked on shading. Gobble, gobble! [fsg_gallery id=”4″]

This month was all about BEARS. We read funny stories, like Hands Off my Honey and Bedtime for Bears. Then we danced to Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear and made a bear out of the letter B. Now it's time for hibernation! [fsg_gallery id=”10″]
What could be more fun than books coming to life?! The Mad Hatters of the Junior League of Chicago came to perform stories for us. They shared the joy and fun of reading by re-enacting children's books. [fsg_gallery id=”11″]
We partnered with District 158's Parent Tot to bring you a fun family evening with award-winning musician Laura Doherty. Families gathered at the Chesak Elementary gym to dance and clap along to the catchy rhythms! [fsg_gallery id=”12″]
Families had fun playing bingo and winning Thanksgiving-related prizes! [fsg_gallery id=”13″]
