This is personally my favorite book ever, and talks about how Grace always wants out of her small town and away from her controlling stepdad and mom who force her to clean. Gavin, a local rock star, seems like he can give her that. When they finally get together, though, he seems extremely toxic and Grace feels as though she cannot breathe, giving up her life goals to stay in the small town with Gavin. Will Gavin save her, or end up breaking her?
I love that this book really highlights genuine teen dating violence, and that this book teaches how to be strong and put yourself first. For high school teens and adults.
