Enjoy photos of this month’s Read to a Dog! Read to a Dog is a monthly program for families at the Huntley Area Public Library.  The volunteer animals are licensed therapy dogs and are accompanied by their owners for the program.  Families sign up for a fifteen minute time slot.  Readers can bring a book from home or choose one from the library. Pajamarama May 2017 Gallery

For this month’s Pajamarama, we read about food!  We read “Little Pea” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and talked about foods we like to eat. Kids had fun singing Flip Flap Jack and guessing what foods made up his body.  Then we made a pancake craft and enjoyed a snack.  Yum! For this month’s Pajamarama, we learned about reduce, reuse, and recycling!  We read stories about Earth Day, like “Earth Day, Birthday” by Maureen Wright.  Then kids squished a shaving cream bag of blue and yellow to make…green!  They could also color an Earth Day sheet and enjoy a snack.  Yum! Project Tween: Faux Stained Glass (April 2017) Gallery

Enjoy pictures of Project Tween Faux Stained Glass!  Tweens used special paint on glass frames to make their own unique stained glass designs. Project Tween is a monthly program geared for youth between 10-14 years old at the Huntley Area Public Library.
