Collaborating with community partners is a large part of what makes Huntley an exceptional place to live. When the library was getting ready to reopen, staff wanted to make an impact and work with our partners to make sure the community knew about all the changes the library made during the construction and renovation project, and to celebrate the occasion. One of those partners was Sew Hop’d Brewery and Taproom.
Huntley, IL – The Huntley Area Public Library was honored to receive a donation from the Huntley Area Lions Club in the amount of $1000.00. The donation was presented to the library by Jim Saletta and Jim Graves of the Lions Club in honor of American disability rights advocate Helen Keller. Keller influenced Lions Club members to join her and continue her crusade as Knights of the Blind. Helping the visually impaired has been a cause for the group since 1925.

We are happy to announce that work will begin on the library’s drive-up book return on Monday, May 16, 2022. Removal of the drive-up book return will be the first step of a much-needed height adjustment to make it accessible for most vehicles. Following the removal of the book return, some minor construction will take place on the drive-up window and lane. During this time all drive-up window services and book return will be closed.
