Read to a Dog July 2017 Gallery

Enjoy photos of this month’s Read to a Dog! Read to a Dog is a monthly program for families at the Huntley Area Public Library.  The volunteer animals are licensed therapy dogs and are accompanied by their owners for the program.  Families sign up for a fifteen minute time slot.  Readers can bring a book from home or choose one from the library. Project Tween: Paint n’ Sip (July 2017) Gallery

Enjoy pictures of our popular July Project Tween Paint-and-sip project: a sunset painting. To begin, each tween started by painting their canvas all orange. Then they layered different colors of acrylic paint and lastly, topped their creation with paint dots for the sun rays. This month Young Artist’s worked with oil pastels and tissue paper to make their creations. Pajamarama Stuffed Animal Sleepover July 2017 Gallery

We had a SUPER Stuffed Animal Sleepover this month at Pajamarama! Twenty animals were dropped off ahead of time and we took pictures of their adventures all over the library. Then families joined us on Tuesday for fun stories about sleeping, like “Llama, Llama, Red Pajama,” by Anna Dwedney and we sang and danced with our friends. Children received a photo collage, drew a picture of their stuffed friend at the library and had a snack.
