Mane in Heaven: Mini Horses August 2015 (Gallery)

Over 550 people came to see these thigh-high mini horses. They are therapy animals, trained to visit hospital patients. They put smiles on many faces at the Huntley Area Public Library! Art Discovery August 2015 (Gallery)

This month in Art Discovery, kids ages 8-10 created patterns on a printout of a zebra and used colored pencils to make each one unique. The Jungle Book Theater July 2015 (Gallery)

Over 140 people came to the Cosman Center to see The Jungle Book brought to life by American Eagle Productions. Lil Critters July 2015 (Gallery)

Project Tween: Sketch a Bird of Prey (July 2015) Gallery

Whoo-whoo? Project Tweens is who!  They practiced their drawing skills using a live Barred Owl model brought to us by the McHenry County Conservation District in the Sketch a Bird of Prey class.

Read to a Dog is a monthly program for families at the Huntley Area Public Library.  The volunteer animals are licensed therapy dogs and are accompanied by their owners for the program.  Families sign up for a fifteen minute time slot.  Readers can bring a book from home or choose one from the library. Stuffed Animal Sleepover Pajamarama July 2015 (Gallery)

We were really looking forward to the Stuffed Animal Sleepover!  Children dropped off their stuffed animals on Monday for a sleepover, then came to Pajamarama on Tuesday.  We read stories about sleepovers, including “Sleepover with Beatrice and Bear”, and sang and danced with our animals. The Huntley Area Public Library will be closed Thursday, November 28, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Additionally, we will be closing early Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Our exterior book drop will be closing on Wednesday, November 27, at 5:00 p.m. as well. All online resources will be available during this time. The library and exterior book drop will reopen Friday, November 29, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
