Teens created a free-standing dinosaur out of cardboard and other materials. Templates were provided or they could create their own. Enjoy the photos!
Our popular henna event/artist is back! Rebecca Huston from Heathen Ink Tattoo returned to decorate area teens with temporary, henna tattoos. Participants also learned how to use the henna applicators to create their own designs. Photos are from two sessions, one in June and one in July.
Families with children ages 2 through grade 2 are coming to the library for songs, stories and conversation in Spanish! T-Rexplorers joined us after hours at the Huntley library to discover clues that prove the existence of dinosaurs. We looked into the world of dinosaur science straight from the Cretaceous Period. Kids ages 5-12 held fossil types from numerous species and got a glimpse of what it’s like to go on a Paleontological dig. Enjoy the photos! This month for Animal Crackers Book Club, Tom Henn visited and brought Butter, an albino Burmese python. Kids aged 7-10 joined us for an hour of fun activites, a snack and interesting discussion about snakes. They also went home with a free book. Enjoy the slithering photos! This month, Pajamarama was all about royalty! We had Miss Huntley Deepa Dhillon and Miss Lake in the Hills Victoria Vargas visit. We read books about knights and princesses, including, “Not All Princesses Dress in Pink,” by Jane Yolen. Then we created our own wand to take home. Enjoy the magical photos!
