This month, Tweens painted a jellyfish step-by-step. They created an underwater masterpiece using acrylic paint on canvas to take home and display. Enjoy the photos! Project Tween is a monthly program geared for youth between 10-14 years old at the Huntley Area Public Library.

Teens met up at the library to make animal ears (for costumes, cosplay, and everyday wear) out of duct tape or fleece. We attached them to barrettes, headbands, bobby pins, and hair bands to affix them to our heads! Some sewing happened, but the hot glue guns were very popular. Check out what we made!

Teens had to escape from the maze in a “Maze Runner”-themed escape room. See photos below for the room/maze prior to their triumphant escape!
Artist, Christine Thornton, returned to the library to teach a watercolor painting class on birch trees. Participants (adults and teens) created lovely, forest settings.
