2017 Very Merry Huntley Holiday Open House Gallery

Over 700 people attended the annual Holiday Open House at the Huntley Area Public Library on Friday, December 1, 2017. They enjoyed musical entertainment from Dave Gutshall and Andy Huber, a treasure hunt, face painting, refreshments, horse-drawn trolley rides and a visit with Santa and the Grinch! When amazing art is being done, you need to showcase it…so we had an art show!  Kids were asked to bring in 1-2 items they made at Project Tween to share with library visitors.  If you are a tween and you haven’t been coming to this event, check out the photos to see what you have been missing! Project Tween is a monthly program geared for youth between 10-14 years old at the Huntley Area Public Library.

Project Tween: Paint n’ Sip (July 2017) Gallery

Enjoy pictures of our popular July Project Tween Paint-and-sip project: a sunset painting. To begin, each tween started by painting their canvas all orange. Then they layered different colors of acrylic paint and lastly, topped their creation with paint dots for the sun rays.
