Adults and teens hand-lettered and framed meaningful quotes in this fun and artsy workshop led by Amanda Palczynski. They used collage techniques, watercolor pens, and a variety of other materials in their creations.
Tweens designed and decorated a book/tote bag and made buttons to show their love for the library. We provided all the supplies for kids ages 10-14 in this 90 minute class. Check out the photos! Teens painted their own versions of the traditional Swedish Dala horses in this fun class. The results were creative and beautiful!
Thank you for helping to make our Very Merry Huntley event last Friday a success! We offered four Very Merry sessions at the library this year. We put out the tinsel and bells, in hopes people would bring an old sweater that repels. It’s the season. Friends ages 10 and older joined us to decorate one of their sweaters for the upcoming holidays. Participants created fantastical capture jars containing dragons and fairies, and tiny fairy lights in this fun class.
Amanda Palczynski, graphic designer and art journalist, shared tips and ideas (plus lots of fun art supplies and stickers) to inspire participants in the creation of their own bullet journals. Popular spreads included monthly calendars, mood trackers, and chores/to-do lists. Everyone went home with a journal and – hopefully – a desire to continue journaling.
