Delilah and Selim take a break from their exploits when they meet a Dutch journalist who talks them into undertaking a treasure hunting expedition. Unbeknownst to them (at least initially) he’s sending copy of their adventures back to his editors, and the stories are appearing in a number of newspapers. This brings them some unwanted attention, especially when an attempt is made on Delilah’s life. The treasure hunt leads to an even more exciting find – an ancient city, hidden underground – which needs a special key/device to unlock its secrets. The Dutchman again prevaricates and brings in a horde of politicians and military men (instead of the scholars and scientists he’d promised) in an attempt to sell their find to the highest bidder. The tension increases as the city begins to crumble around them. Will they make a tidy profit? Will they even escape with their lives? Another exciting installment in this suspenseful and action-packed series.
