Haley loves gothic novels like “Wuthering Heights,” so she’s not too traumatized when she gets sucked into an alternate/gasket universe – Willowweep Manor – that follows all the same rules as the stories she adores. Unfortunately, Willowweep Manor is under attack by an evil being from another world that is trying to bust through into Haley’s universe. It uses its powers to mesmerize animals and people to do its bidding, it creates illusions to distract the caretakers, and its poisonous goo – the Bile – covers the land. Haley and the denizens of the Manor – Masters Laurence, Cuthbert, and Montague, as well as Wilhelmina the maid, and a resident ghost – must work together to defeat the evil entity and save the gasket universe. A thrilling and funny gothic tale! (I’ll admit, I picked this up because there are zombie bunnies on the cover!)
