Just before the new public library is to open, Mr. Lemoncello – a famous game designer, whose monetary contributions helped fund the endeavor – sponsors an essay contest to choose twelve twelve-year-olds to spend the night at a special library lock-in.  Kyle and his friend Akimi are among those chosen, and they team up to play games and solve Mr. Lemoncello’s puzzle, which involves using library resources, participating in challenges, and finding a new way out of the library.

Fun adventure story with lots of clues that readers can use to follow along with the competitors.  Lots of author (and even librarian!) name-dropping, too.  Will be appreciated by those who love games, books, libraries and reading!
