The book “Everything, Everything” is a really good book. How would you feel if you were allergic to the world and couldn’t go outside? Well, Madeline has never been outside. For 17 years she has been inside. One day, new neighbors move in. They see each other and fall in love. Maddy wants to go outside more than ever. But if she does, will she get sick? * Star (A waste of time)
“Everything, Everything” is a YA novel that tells the story of Madeline Whittier, a teenage girl who has spent her entire life indoors due to a rare illness that makes her allergic to the outside world. She is being treated for severe combined immunodeficiency, also known as “bubble baby disease.” Despite the limitations of her condition, Madeline’s world expands when she develops a friendship with Olly, the new boy next door. As their relationship deepens, Madeline begins to question the boundaries of her sheltered existence and discovers the transformative power of human connection. What will become of Madeline’s romance with Olly? Will she be able to live beyond her disease?
I found this book to be terrible. The main character lacks depth and is not interesting to follow. The storyline is extremely predictable and highly unrealistic. If you are looking for a romance book to indulge in without any expectations, this book is for you. Personally, this book is not for me. For middle and high school teens.
