The HAPLD Friends Foundation gathered on April 8, 2014 for a Culver’s Night to help raise money for the Huntley Area Public Library. In conjunction with Culver’s of Huntley and the local community, the organization brought in over $600 for the evening.
During the hours of 4-8 p.m. the Friends received a percentage of sales from Culver’s. In addition, the Friends Foundation held a 50/50 raffle drawing, and several Friends members were tipped for delivering food to patrons of the restaurant.
The Foundation was also the recipient of a generous gift. The raffle winner donated their share right back to the Friends! It was an act of kindness the Foundation experienced last year as the 2013 winner was the spouse of this year’s winner. Friends Liasion Pamela Kampwerth said, “They are generous supporters of the library, and contribute to almost every fundraiser the Friends sponsor. We want to thank them both for their continued support and generosity.” Kampwerth added, “We’d like to thank the volunteers that helped during the event, the community, and Culver’s for the opportunity.”
