This book is somewhat of a subtle Poe experience – very creepy but at the same time, not really. It’s about a teenager named Doug Hanson and his many obsessions – model trains, girls (one in particular), and fire. After a tragic event takes place, things just keep spiraling out of control for Doug, until his parents finally decide to send him to a private school. This book will definiely make you think about thinking.
