In a Manhattan hotel on the eve of World War II, Hephaestus catches his wife, Aphrodite, in a compromising position with his brother Ares. To clear herself of the crime of adultery, she weaves an intricate tale of mortal love during wartime that demonstrates the endurance of the human spirit. This book is intelligently and incredibly well written, and seamlessly tells three different stories inside one book. After the first page, I never wanted to set the book down, and I found myself rooting for characters, relating to them, and feeling what they were. I found that this book was very entertaining and is a good fit for anyone looking for any one of the types of books: romance, historical fiction, happy ending, adventure, and there are even aspects of Greek mythology. This book is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone!
