* * * * * Stars (Amazing!)
This book I loved because it was so full of action and violence, like how they go into the Capitol. Also this book did not take me long to read because it is an amazing book. I hope other people will read it.

In the final book in the Hunger Games series, Katniss is faced with becoming the Mockingjay, the symbol of the rebellion. Katniss must try to bring the districts together against Snow in order to save Peeta and the other tributes. I liked this book because it was so different from the movie, it felt like I was reading an entirely different storyline. I am also a sucker for a romance novel and having Katniss try to decide between ale, her best friend from district 12, or Peeta, the boy who helped keep her alive in the Hunger Games, made the story more intriguing.

* * * * Stars (Great!)
Mockingjay is the final book in the Hunger Games trilogy. Katniss & the rebellion must enter and take over the Capitol, but they face many obstacles the Capitol throws at them. Out of the three books of the trilogy, this was my least favorite. I wish the ending was different, however, I would still recommend it.

* * * Stars (Pretty good)
The last part of the Hunger Games trilogy starts off with a great adventure. I liked this book because it pulled me in from the first chapter.

Katniss, as well as a few other tributes who were saved from the Quarter Quell arena during the 75th Hunger Games wake up to find themselves being taken care of in district 13. District 13 is a new district in Panem for all the rebels against the capitol, and Katniss must now go there since her home district, district 12, was obliterated. The leader of district 12, President Coin, makes a deal with Katniss for her to represent the rebels by being their “Mockingjay” in order to save Peeta who is stuck in the capitol. Katniss keeps her side of the deal and finally gets to reunite with Peeta, but the capitol has turned him into a mutt. Now Katniss is determined to get back at the capitol and she decides to physically fight in the war. Follow Katniss on her journey to save her loved ones and get revenge.

This book was good, but not my favorite in the series. I feel like the author could have just made “Catching Fire” a bit longer and just ended the series then. This book just felt long and unnecessary, and it wasn’t really addicting to read. For middle and high school teens.
