Over the past few months, the library has shifted collections, moved the Children’s Area and Program Room, and relocated some staff. It was all done in preparation for phase one of the building project. It is a little noisy at the library today as construction has begun. The first step is adding some safety walls to the library’s program room. Once these walls are in place, it will reduce the program room in size, an unfortunate circumstance that may affect some programming over the next year. Stay tuned to the library’s website, eNews, phone message and social media outlets for updates on closures and program cancellations. Exterior construction and the demolition of the trailers will begin shortly after the safety area is completed.
Update 2.25.20: After just a few days, walls are up, and we’re inching closer to reopening the program room. Some programs have been cancelled due to the construction, but things should be back to normal shortly. You may always check the status of programs at https://huntley.libnet.info/huntley/events
Programs that have been cancelled will have the word cancelled in red text above the program title.
We appreciate your patience and are sorry for any inconvenience caused during the construction.
