This book was very interesting. It made me never want to stop reading. It was very relatable to me because I run and do track just like the main character. The book is about a girl who got in a car crash coming back from the meet on the bus. She woke up in the hospital with no leg. She becomes depressed, but Fiona helps her. Even though she lost a leg she still manages to help an amazing person out.

As she tries to figure things out she takes all her depression out on her friends and family. As she learns to do more things, she sees many benefits to it. Not only that but the whole track team comes together to buy her one thing that will change her life. Will Jessica be able to do track again?

What I liked about this book is that it’s unique and different than any other book I’ve read. Jessica is in a tragic accident when a car hits her bus that she was in for track. Luckily, only 2 people got hurt. Lucy, sadly, dies, but Jessica gets her leg cut off. She is devastated, but the whole team pitches together to get Jessica a running leg. Jessica has to face many obstacles like walking, getting up stairs, and taking showers.

The Running Dream is about a runner who loses a leg in a bus crash. She tries to rebuild her life to not only walk again, but to run again. Her friends help her through this tough time by raising money for her to buy a new running leg. This is an amazing book. I really liked it.
