Roar! We read Eggasaurus by Jennifer Wagh about a child who received dinosaur eggs in the mail. Then we made our own dinosaur egg to take home, let dry, and break open later. Some kids sent us photos of their egg opening at home. What kind of dinosaur is your favorite?
Love slime? So do we! Children learned how to make their own spooky, gooey slime with kid-friendly ingredients. Check out the pictures if you dare!
Over 100 people came to the library to see hawks, owls and falcons from Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education. We met the fastest flying animal (a falcon) and an owl that likes to eat skunks. We also learned many amazing facts about how to help keep our environment safe for animals. At one point, the audience had to act like birds of prey. Enjoy the cool photos!

Enjoy pictures of Project Tween Doodle Art where kids learned to doodle with style and create complex artwork starting with simple designs. Project Tween is a monthly program geared for youth between 10-14 years old at the Huntley Area Public Library.
Welcome to the jungle, The Jungle Bus that is. The Jungle Bus, which is a bus transformed into a gymnastics playground for 2-7 year-olds, visited the library. Over 30 kids enjoyed jumping, swinging and playing together over the short time the bus was here. This month in Art Discovery, kids ages 8-10 created patterns on a printout of a zebra and used colored pencils to make each one unique. Over 140 people came to the Cosman Center to see The Jungle Book brought to life by American Eagle Productions.
