Kids 2-5 years-old sang, “One, two, three, whee!” at our Parachute Party, among other songs like Sleeping Bunnies, Zoom, Zoom, and Rolling Ball. We marched, clapped and popped items on the chute as we listened to different tunes. Enjoy the cute pictures!
We were all about BUGS at Pajamarama! We read Bugs Galore by Peter Stein, danced with shakers and made our own bug creations. If you like bugs (and even if you don’t!), check these out!
If you build it, they will come! We invited babies 1-3 years-old to come and share their building skills. They joined us for socializing and fun times playing with blocks, boxes and learning spatial awareness. See the smiles and some of the excitement from the event.
Build a giraffe, camel and lion, oh my! Miss Melanie challenged kids with the Gigi Blocks and they accepted and had fun while working together. We can’t wait to see what they do next. Roar!!!
Who loves Legos? Everyone! Lego Play Day was a huge success! Kids enjoyed playing with friends and with Legos. Enjoy all the smiles!
Roar! We read Eggasaurus by Jennifer Wagh about a child who received dinosaur eggs in the mail. Then we made our own dinosaur egg to take home, let dry, and break open later. Some kids sent us photos of their egg opening at home. What kind of dinosaur is your favorite?
February 19, 2020 marks the next chapter in the Huntley Area Public Library’s expansion project. On this day, several local officials, including representatives from the Village, Park District, School District and Police Department were joined by architects, builders, volunteers, Friends Foundation members and library staff to commemorate the official groundbreaking
Enjoy pictures of Project Tween Doodle Art where kids learned to doodle with style and create complex artwork starting with simple designs. Project Tween is a monthly program geared for youth between 10-14 years old at the Huntley Area Public Library.
Welcome to the jungle, The Jungle Bus that is. The Jungle Bus, which is a bus transformed into a gymnastics playground for 2-7 year-olds, visited the library. Over 30 kids enjoyed jumping, swinging and playing together over the short time the bus was here.
