Library patrons participated in our Take a Hike program in November 2021 and shared photos of their adventures below. We distributed kits to help people plan and take enjoyable hikes. Kits included a backpack for supplies, water bottle, granola bar, safety whistle, and maps detailing area conservation sites. Want to plan your own hike? Here’s what folks had to say about their hikes:
- Moraine Hills State Park + McHenry Dam State Park, saw caterpillars and dragonfly.
- We enjoyed seeing all the beautiful leaves and trees at the Coral Woods Conservation Area in Marengo during our fall hike.
- Our subdivision lost power, so what better way to push us outside and go for a nice hike?
