Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? Big Questions from Tiny Mortals About Death

* * * * * Stars (Amazing!)
Caitlin Doughty is a mortician and funeral director and in this book she responds to some of the questions she has received from young folks about death, corpses, funerals and more (including “Will my cat eat my eyeballs?”). Kids are curious about ALL aspects of death, so there’s a nice selection of questions – I particularly enjoyed “Can grandma have a Viking funeral?” and “Can I be buried with my hamster?” And Caitlin is very knowledgeable – her answers are detailed and well-researched. She also serves up her answers with respect for her audience, for the dead, and a side of humor. This short and entertaining look at what happens after we die will probably answer some of *your* burning questions as well! Recommended. For middle and high school readers.
